——————-
A lot happened around the days of action against CIGEO in the vicinity of the Rayonnantes camp at Luméville station in August 2021. A brief review of the events and a call to intensify our resistance.
Upstream actions
Already before the Rayonnantes camp, there had been interventions by the B.O.R.I.S. group.
As part of a coordinated action, attacks in Bar-le-Duc and Nancy with paint and smashed windows targeted SAFER. The insurance company Groupama, which had joined the civil action with the commune of Bure during the 1-2-3 trials, also suffered material damage. On the railway track to be renovated between Ligny and Gondrecourt, militants sabotaged parts of the track with jacks. Graffiti and stickers in front of the camp.

Bure: Account of the day of action, Saturday 21 August (France)

An account of the day of action near Bure, Saturday 21 August 2021
All Colours Are Beautifull
On Saturday 21st, four processions, Violet, Golden, Green and Circus, spread out from different starting points to reach the same target. In a context where Andra is trying to get the Dossier d’Utilité Publique (DUP) accepted and is announcing a public inquiry in September to make it its democratic showcase, we have targeted the work associated with Cigéo.
The processions marched on or around the route of the railway line that runs from Ligny-en-Barrois to Saudron-Guillaumé, passing through Gondrecourt-le-Château. This railway line is intended to carry radioactive waste to the downstream facility and then bury it underground. If the DUP is accepted, the renovation of this railway line could officially begin, as well as the expropriation of the surrounding houses and fields.

(EN/FR) Cigéo: let’s pull the cord!

(EN)
In Bure (France), the State wants to build a center for burying nuclear waste. In September 2021, the public hearing to determine the public utility (DUP) of the CIGÉO project will begin. A pseudo-participatory show that will open the way for the next works and expropriations. Our “public participation” means resistance and sabotage – exiting nuclear power requires manual work.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY BY ALF ANIMAL LIBERATION FRONT (CENTRAL GREECE )

On July 15, while mountain climbing in Mavrorachi vilage of Pilion we discovered two dogs chained to two trees. As soon as they saw us they started to bark as if they were calling us to come to them. Seeing their strong need and desire for liberation, we decided to intervene and lead them to freedom. As we said, the two creatures were tied with chains about one metre long to two trees, which greatly restricted their movements.
In the suffocating context in which they were forced to live, their food was down on the ground next to their faeces. The only thing certain is that their owner is not interested in their hygiene or living conditions.

Saint-Julien-de-Peyrolas (Gard): The hunters get more visits (France)

Midi-Libre / Friday 9 July 2021
The members of the hunting society The Saint-Hubert once raised lookout posts, wooden watchtowers, in the forest of Boissonnade […]. In the spring, vandalism was committed against these installations as well as the hunting lodge (edition of April 19).
This time, six watchtowers in steep locations were cut down. The acts were committed over the weekend. The mayor, Claude Salau, dispatched the municipal police officer to the site to measure the extent of the damage. A complaint was filed with the gendarmerie of Pont-Saint-Esprit by the company’s president.

Burning the centers of the technological virus On the necessity of cutting the networks of domination

In solidarity with Boris(https://actforfree.noblogs.org/post/2021/06/25/prison-of-nancy-maxeville-france-why-i-burned-the-two-antennas-of-mont-poupet/), we have translated the publication which the police found in his house during a raid, and used as evidence against him.

When, if not now?
In recent years, all the devices around us have begun to take on a life of their own. Modern televisions record the conversations of those around them, modern refrigerators do the stock management and even modern ovens are no longer limited to being an electric fireplace: they have internet interfaces that are supposed to enable them to be switched on from “on the road” and through which they exchange data with their owners and other curious people at will. With smartphones, most people have long since bugged themselves voluntarily and in all their movements. So it’s hardly surprising that more than a few people are also willingly taking Amazon’s Alexa spying program into their homes. And while “technology enthusiasts” are excitedly building their “smart home” cage, the state and a handful of technology companies have even more extensive plans and visions. Voluntary (self-)surveillance within one’s own four walls was yesterday: the “smart city” of today and tomorrow includes an impressive repertoire of sensor technologies to not only meticulously record and monitor who is where and with whom, but also to control the movements and actions of the city’s inhabitants with subtle and less subtle methods, to direct and manipulate them. On closer inspection, this also seems bitterly necessary, because in the increasingly misanthropic environments of today’s cities, in which the highest priority is given to the transport of human livestock to offices, shops and factories, as well as to the transport of goods to satisfy false needs, any subversive potential must be silenced, or better yet, integrated into this illusion of life before it spreads like an epidemic and causes irreparable damage to this beautiful, perfect world.
