IAATA / wednesday 13 november 2024

Translated by Act for freedom now! via: attaque

In mid-October, 4 people were arrested in several parts of France, on the street during targeted arrests or at their home at 6 am. Each was driven to Toulouse to undergo up to 94 hours in custody as part of an investigation for “association of malefactors” related to the struggle against the A69. After being held, Louna was the only person charged and sent to pre-trial detention (PD). She is accused of having destroyed an excavator with an explosive substance and criminal conspiracy with a view to destruction with dangerous means.

EN/IT From Bari (South of italy) in memory of Kyriakos and in solidarity with Marianna, Dimitra e Dimitris.

On the 16th of November, the assembly “NO CARCERE NO CPR” (no prison no deportation center) organised a greeting in front of the prison of Bari in the South of Italy for those inside. We took the chance to also hold a speech about Kyriakos Ximitris and our comrades in the prisons of Athens which we want to publish here.
All love and solidarity for Marianna, Dimitra and Dimitris and those who are grieving the loss of their friend and comrade Kyriakos.

———

These words we speak in solidarity with our comrade Kyriakos Ximitris and in solidarity with Marianna, Dimitra e Dimitris.

The 31st of october 2024, our anarchist comrade Kyriakos has been killed by a bomb that exploded in an apartment in Athens. Another comrade, Marianna, was seriously injured by the explosion.

Marianna spent two weeks in hospital, where she had to fight not only her heavy injuries but also the torture from the greek anti-terror-cops, who did – unsuccesfully – try to get whatever information out of her.

Berlin (Germany): Army car damaged

Kontrapolis / Wednesday, December 4, 2024

Last night, a car with a military license plate a German army logo was parked on the Maybach quay at the Hobrecht Bridge.

Something unusual to see.

In the morning, it had to be towed away, with new paint, broken windows and flat tires. Was it a private trip? Every ten years, federal officials forget: you must not park in Neukölln [ a working-class district in the south-central part of Berlin – the link refers to a similar case, a dozen years ago; Ed. ]…

About Violence: A Communiqué on the Block NATO Demonstration* (Montreal,Canada)

*This release is based on the journal Block NATO, organised by CLAC and D4P, but it is independent. We will explain here the reasoning behind our actions of the evening of Friday, November 22nd, because we know why we do these things and we believe very strongly in what we do.

Let’s put things first in context : Friday 22/11/24, marked the start of NATO’s parliamentary assembly in Montreal. NATO represents the military apparatus of the global north, it’s the biggest military alliance in history. While our governments are already making the life of the excluded and exploited a death circus, NATO pressures Canada to invest 50% more of its GDP into the military. That represents 55 billion dollars. NATO is a major decision-making body that embodies militarist and imperialist interests. It’s also an accomplice in the genocide happening in Palestine.

$hile: Call for a week of agitation by Marcelo Villarroel

Call for internationalist solidarity for the Release to the Streets of comrade Marcelo Villarroel Sepúlveda, an anti-authoritarian prisoner in the Chilean prisons still held captive by the military laws of Pinochet.

Week of Agitation from December 9 to 16, 2024.

– From the Marcelo Villarroel Anti-Prison Solidarity Network to the street RSAMVALK in Chile together with a group of Like-Minded Individuals in different places and territories of the planet, we make this call that seeks to maintain the visibility of a very serious legal-political situation very serious since it expresses all the hatred and vengeance of the power that, above its own legality, keeps our brother and comrade who, since December 2023, should already be on the streets for having fully served the 14-year sentence that was imposed for two bank robberies that occurred in 2007.

Position of the anarchist prisoner K.K. from the prisons of Kassavetias (Greece)

Our life is

pointless panting

at pre-programmed strikes

stooges and patrol cars.

That’s why I’m telling you.

Next time they’ll let us have it

we shouldn’t run. We should hold our line.

Let’s not sell our asses so cheap, man.

Don’t. It’s raining. Gimme a smoke.

Katerina Gogou ( Κ. Γώγου)

Voices and screams resound from inside the cells, behind the walls and barbed wire. Flocks of birds and warplanes fly over the prisons. No matter how much the morbidity of the times wants us to bow down, there will always be something stronger, the ability to respond with sparkling eyes, the stubbornness of those who fight for a more beautiful world, the fire that burns inside us and refuses to go out.

On 11/10 an explosive device is placed in a police investigation van. Local and not only media shoot with relevant articles. At the end of October, I am informed by my friends that there is a strong and constant presence of plain clothes police in the area where I live. At the same time, information about a 16-year-old boy being beaten up by a student fascist group in a neighbouring village is circulating. I was out of Messolonghi at that time and I returned with the aim of meeting the boy in person, to open up the matter and find ways to face it.

From Hamburg to Greece – Solidarity-Declaration of the Open Anarchist Assembly Hamburg

Solidarity-Declaration of the Open Anarchist Assembly Hamburg

[greek below]

Dear comrades,
we are anarchist comrades who came together on December 6, 2024 for the third Open Anarchist Assembly in Hamburg.

We are anarchists from different spectrums, with different experiences and perspectives.

We come together once a month to coordinate existing initiatives,
develop new ones and network.

We are not a homogeneous, fixed constellation – but we are united by our rejection of all forms of authority and our longing for a world free from exploitation and oppression.

We followed the events of October 31, 2024 in Athens with sadness and anger. Continue reading From Hamburg to Greece – Solidarity-Declaration of the Open Anarchist Assembly Hamburg

For the trial with the hunter in Evia – A victory dedicated to comrade Lary (Greece)

For the trial with the hunter in Evia – A victory dedicated to comrade Lary

On November 28, 2024, the case with the hunter in Evia was tried on charges of robbery and theft. The prosecutor’s original proposal included the penalties of unlawful violence and vigilante justice. The final decision of the court announced by the president after a half-hour recess was acquittal of all charges, with the prosecutor himself stating that the charges were not arising from anywhere.

The lawyer appointed by the hunting club disappeared like lightning with the announcement of the decision, ashamed and with his face on the floor, as I was informed by comrades who were there since I personally did not even have time to notice when his seat went empty. Likewise, the hunter and his wife who had been roaring two days before – as she did this time on hearing the prosecutor’s proposal on the sentences – left the courtroom rapidly, so that I only had time to see their backs and unfortunately not their faces.

Letter from anarchist comrade Nikos Romanos from Korydallos Prison (Greece)

Monday, November 18, was the day when time stopped for me once again. Hooded anti-terrorism officers, handcuffs, holding cells, television cameras, news bulletins, journalistic scripts, police theories. Behind this familiar pattern and the communicative storm of guilt, there is another reality.

They are the wounds that resurface and multiply, shattering families, destroying human relationships, annihilating dreams, hopes, plans of a life condemned once again to the death of frozen time.

Because the language of truth cannot be hidden, I repeat, I deny the indictment in its entirety. An unfounded, baseless, exaggerated, and unsubstantiated indictment that arises abusively, creating more questions than it actually answers. Following the established political logic of the anti-terrorism law, which creates a category of defendants that exists outside the legal system, since everyone is guilty until proven innocent. The language spoken by the system has already issued its verdict. I became a wandering trophy for all kinds of exploitation. An exhibit in the showcases of the museums of lies and oblivion. With the label of “terrorist” hanging on the annex “guilty of all times,” for observation by usually naive, but mainly scared and peace-loving visitors.
