The world is being set on fire. Everywhere in the world, armies and the weapons industry are being reinforced with billions. Bombs, guns, submarines, fighter jets, and much more. Often tested on living victims.
In the meantime it’s becoming less taboo to talk about the draft. The same powers that wish to fight each other will gladly delegate this task to citizens who don’t want to have anything to do with it.
As the machine of war becomes more and more powerful, it also becomes clearer that it’s time to act against it, and to show that this can’t go on the way it is. That there are crises, such as what is being done to the planet, and the illegalisation of migrants. And that the solution to this isn’t war, but solidarity and kinship.
We will show this in the first week of February. We will act with ideas and deeds!
We are being made afraid of war. Politicians are talking about reintroducing the draft. In the meantime, the Netherlands and related countries are supplying the bombs that are being used to bombard Gaza.
Weapons’ fairs are being organised as if they’re a day trip. Universities claim that their contribution to the machine of war and colonialism is merely for the purpose of science. And in 2025 the NATO summit will take place in the Netherlands for the first time.
Let’s resist the wars that will still come. Every action can be a beginning for more actions, for a countermovement, for a struggle against the elite.
Taking this in mind, we enourage everyone to act against militarism, nationalism and war between 1st and 8th of February
