We receive and publish this text-appeal against the G7 which will take place in Elmau, Bavaria, from 26th to 28th June. If we agree with the whole of the reasoning and the tension that animates it, we cannot fail to point out a contradiction between denunciation of “massive financing to digital and to biotechnologies” thanks to the Covid-19 Emergency, and the claim to “vaccination for all”, that is to say biotechnological serums… This said, strength and courage in taking “resistance against this capitalist shit to the streets”.

The G20-related trials are not yet concluded and the next summit of shit is already underway. The G7 summit, this time for three days, will be held again in Germany from 26th to 28th June 2022 – and will take place in Elmau, Bavaria, as in 2015. The state and government leaders of Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Canada and United States of America (USA) will gather in Schlosshotel Elmau. The seven megalomaniacs (G7, “the biggest advanced economies in the world within the IMF and the richest liberal democracies”) are the most powerful capitalist states, major military powers and the headquarters of the biggest banks and corporations. Their policies are responsible for the poverty, exploitation and oppression of millions of people, for famines and wars.
Do we want once again to organize resistance against the G7 and let people understand that the dominant powers don’t represent us? We should self-critically ask ourselves whether it is meaningful to mobilize again after Elmau or, unlike 2015, if more decentralised actions would be more efficient. But what is the aim actually? To stop the summit? To destroy the G7? A symbolic protest?
G7 means exploitation and global militarization
The G7 continues to claim global supremacy for itself: economically, politically and militarily. Although the G7’s dominance has been weakened by competition from industrialized and emerging countries with which they have to coordinate as G20 countries, the orientation of their policies has not fundamentally changed.
Improving living conditions and solving social problems have never been serious concerns of the G7: the participating states are preoccupied with securing spheres of power and influence. They are in increasingly aggressive competition with Russia, China, and other countries over geostrategic positions, raw materials and markets.
G7 have always been pioneers in the radical liberalization of commercial systems and at the same time they are pursuing global deregulation of global financial markets. Speculations on food, which cause famines and misery, must be seen as direct consequences of these policies. G7 are the expression of a system that puts capitalist exploitation above people’s needs.
Cooperation between states – in both G7 and the UE – is always being interrupted by competition between them. This competitions permeates all the sectors of society and therefore the life of each individual, but also expresses itself in the competition between states and companies on the global market. The end of competition is only possible with an overcoming of capitalist relations.
Since the most important NATO countries excluded Russia from G8, the danger of a war in the struggle for power with Russia has become reality. But economic war with China has also been integrated with military demonstrations of power. Alongside growing militarization, however, loss of significance for NATO is also becoming real.
Technological attack and the Covid 19 pandemic
Particularly the United States and China are competing for technological justification of a new (world) power. These offensives of innovations also have the goal of overturning social relations. This is a technological attack that other G7 states, the EU and emerging countries are also trying out.
At the same time, the next economic crisis, already foreseen during the last economic crisis, is coming closer and closer. The covid pandemic is contributing immensely: exacerbation of poverty and social conditions and massive financing for the digital and biotechnologies.
The ugliness of capitalism and nationalism reveals itself in the global distribution of vaccines. While in Germany more than three quarters of the population have been vaccinated at least twice, more than half also three times, a large part of the world population hasn’t even seen the first vaccination. The situation is similar in other industrialized countries. Requests for vaccination for all, fair wages in the health sector and not treating health in general as commodity are not being met.
Climate, eco-technocracy and isolation
The 2021 G20 summit and the UN world conference on climate (COP26) have shown that the catastrophic best-case scenario of a man-made climate crisis with a warming of 2.4 degrees Celsius is unlikely. To talk about inaction by the international community doesn’t give them justice. No, they are managing to permanently destroy various ecosystems in the planet and to seriously worsen life conditions for billions of people and animals.
In the capitalist logic, there can be no radical inversion or common struggle against causes. Instead, the community of states is setting up a spectacle of eco-technocracy and trust in technical solutions (solutionism). Thus they are trying to oppose the climate crisis with technology and national well-defined CO2 quotas. Moreover, they are proposing solutions for substitute problems that don’t solve the real problem.
It is precisely the states with particularly high CO2 emissions that are investing more money in border control and isolation. In this way they intend to isolate themselves from the consequences of their policies and to let their victims drown in the Mediterranean or die frozen in the cold of the forests on the external borders of the EU.

These are all good reasons why the G7 disgusts and why we don’t like a summit in Schloss Elmau (or any other place). We are for the interruption of this summit and are taking resistance to this capitalist shit to the streets – militant or vaporous, symbolic or through direct action, in Elmau or decentralised. Smash G7.
