The technological chains are hanging on by a thread!
About the sabotage of cell phone antennas, television relays and fiber optic cables, let’s meet at the Marble to discuss a multifaceted struggle against the infrastructure of power. Friday, April 22nd at 7pm.
For a few years now, an open and unmediated struggle has been spreading its wings in a way that is, to say the least, unexpected. This struggle does not call for changes in the existing situation during large movements seeking unity, but proceeds to a direct destruction of the infrastructures of power during walks under the moon. It does not concentrate on a specific territory to defend, but develops by attacking targets that are everywhere, within reach of everyone. It does not need self-proclaimed leaders frequenting social networks or TV shows, but makes its way autonomously through the actions of individuals who each have their own reasons and perspectives. It ignores organizational specialists or deadlines set in advance by others, sabotaging cell phone antennas, television relays and fiber optic cables unexpectedly and diffusely, with means as banal as a pair of wire cutters, flaming tires or a little well-placed gasoline. It causes not only the temporary interruption of the flow of control and exploitation, but also hundreds of thousands of euros of damage.
Because it is uncontrollable and keeps spreading despite sporadic repression; because the state cannot put a cop behind every pylon or cable trap; because any individual can take part with a little imagination and determination; or simply because it attacks sensitive nodes of domination, this multifaceted struggle obviously causes concern to the authorities. In January 2021, the intelligence services officially counted 170 sabotage actions against the assets of large companies and the state… most of them on cell phone masts. A figure that they even had to increase to nearly 250 in their last annual report in February 2022. And this, of course, without counting all the sabotage against the optical fiber that tends in turn to multiply, as for example these four points of connection cut simultaneously the night of February 27 in Aube, or the twenty others cut in recent months in Perigord, depriving thousands of people of their electronic leashes each time.
By deploying itself without center or periphery and in the shadows outside of the projectors, by using a method like the diffuse and anonymous direct action with means within the reach of all, such a struggle against the dispossession of our lives has certainly something to enthuse the anti-authoritarians who wish to bring down this old world without waiting. Because at a time when the ravages of the techno-industrial system on the planet and on our minds are becoming more and more obvious, to oppose it without concession is the least we can do.
To discuss all this and much more,
let’s meet at the MARBRÉ on April 22nd at 7pm,
39 rue des Deux Communes – Montreuil (93)
Note
On this occasion, an update will also be made about the anarchist companion Boris, who is still hospitalized in a serious condition in the intensive care unit, following the cell fire that occurred in the prison of Nancy in August 2021, where he was incarcerated for 11 months for the destruction of two antennas of the cops, the gendarmerie and the telephone operators during the Great Containment.
On this occasion, a large brochure about this court case will be made available, as well as a solidarity fund (in particular to cover hospital visits of relatives).
