Berlin,Germany: In solidarity with the hunger strikers Alfredo, Juan, Ivan and Anna.

Today 23.11 around 100 people took the streets of Berlin in solidarity with the hunger strikers Alfredo, Juan, Ivan and Anna.

The demonstration started with a gathering in front of the Italian Embassy in Tiergarten. There many speeches were given in different languages. Voices from all over the world could be heard. After one hour of gathering, the demonstration went through the dead streets of the embassy district where international slogans were shouted. At Potsdamer Platz the streets were crowded and with speeches and flyers passers-by got informed. Passing the US embassy, the demo made a reference to Mumia’s struggle and ended shortly after at the Brandenburger Tor.

By the end, the cops took three people and checked their ID’s in order to give fines for “illegal flyering” because in some flyers no responsible person for the content was given (VISDP). The individuals were released after some minutes. People stayed in solidarity and with slogans until everybody was set free.

Save the date: 30th November: day of action in solidarity with Alfredo and other comrades on hunger strike
